Family Therapy

Family life definitely has its ups and downs, and we all strive to learn how to adjust to the growing pains and obstacles we face within our families. However, when it feels like there are more downs and the obstacles cause significant strain on family relationships, an outside fresh perspective is the best way to try and bring balance back into the family.

Typical life events that greatly impact family functioning include but are not limited to:

  • Death of a loved one
  • Moving residence
  • Loss of a job/financial strain
  • Children growing into adolescents
  • Divorce
  • Blended families
  • Single parenthood
  • Addition of a family member (new baby, adoption, grandparent care)
  • Traumatic event (house fire, automobile accident, physical and/or mental health issues)
  • And many others

Family therapy can be conducted in various ways to ensure that the process goes smoothly. Individual therapy for family members as well as marriage counseling is also available and encouraged.
